The ocean of time - Bertinetto with Lightwave on Amiga 1200
A few weeks ago I was rewatching an old film that I was very fond of in the nineties, Bram Stoker's Dracula directed by Francis Ford Coppola. In the course of the film at a certain point (minute 52) the protagonist meets his beloved and recites these words: "I crossed the ocean of time for you". So mental 'mechanisms' were immediately triggered in me which led me to create this image.
CONTEXT:
An interminable wait for a precise moment in a person's life to arrive, so minutes, months, years pass in the stillness of an infinite ocean...
Made on Commodore Amiga 1200 in Micronik configuration , blizzard 1240 with 128mb of RAM and ZZ9000 video card. The resolution as usual for my works is the usual 1280x1024 pixel. All created with the inseparable Lightwave 5.0 software of which I am the owner of a rare original copy . The calculation time was almost 19 hours on a real Amiga with Antialiasing at maximum.
From here you can download the IFF file calculated on real Amiga, compressed ZIP: Oceano.zip
Also made a pencil version here
